The Engagement Manager (Transition) and Knowledge Exchange Lead must obtain a complete insight into the proposed solution, its scope and assumptions. It is critical for this team to study and analyze the output of due diligence and pre-transition assessment to build an initial know-how of the project.

This will help to collect the information required for developing the Knowledge Object Matrix, including the skill sets for delivering the services and cataloguing all documentation.

The Knowledge Exchange Lead must review, collect and catalog all outputs from due diligence and information from any of the other relevant stakeholders including pursuit team.

Few examples of information that will be important to collect:

• Proposed solution
• Scope of services
• Service portfolio
• Service Engagement Risk Log
• Process requirements
• Assumptions from sales team
• List of undocumented and ad-hoc processes and practices
• Skills Matrix.

All of the above information should be reviewed , Knowledge Exchange objectives must be understood and the initial Knowledge Object Matrixand Skills Matrix should be drafted. It would be a good idea to additionally get these documents reviewed with the Service Delivery Teams for additional inputs. Pay particular attention to gaps, risks and assumptions since these can provide key indicators on where larger focus of Knowledge Exchange may need to be targeted. In addition, the Knowledge Exchange Team must also identify the tools/ portals required for knowledge repository and communicate the same to the Technology and InfrastructureLead.

All assumptions must be confirmed and documented. The Knowledge Exchange Lead must ensure the Service Engagement Risk Log is updated with the risks identified during this review.
